Live Brokerage is the final stage of your path with us and the only stage where your orders reach the real market.
You don’t apply for or purchase a Brokerage account. You earn the opportunity through Sim Funded, and our Risk and Brokerage teams determine when you’re ready to transition.
Effective October 1, 2026, we’re updating how new traders transition into Live Brokerage. Existing Brokerage accounts will continue under the structure they were opened with.
How You Qualify
There are two primary paths depending on your plan.
Standard Plans
For Launch, Propel, Instant and Stocks, your Brokerage Review is triggered once you reach $10,000 in total profit on the account, including realized profit made and payouts taken.
Once you reach the threshold:
Stop trading the account
Open a support ticket requesting a Brokerage Review
Wait for the review to be completed before placing additional trades
Continuing to trade after reaching the threshold without completing your review may result in account action, and profits generated above the applicable threshold may not be payable.
Orbit Plans
Your Orbit account is reviewed once you reach the applicable Sim Funded profit ceiling.
Orbit Account | Profit Ceiling |
50K | $10,000 |
100K | $12,500 |
150K | $15,000 |
200K | $12,500 |
Once you reach the ceiling, stop trading and contact Support.
We may also review your account at any time based on your trading history, performance, or overall risk profile.
What Happens During a Brokerage Review?
Our Risk Team reviews your overall trading performance, not just your account balance.
We may look at:
Trading consistency
Risk management
Position sizing
Payout activity
Previous account history
Overall sustainability
While your Brokerage Review is open, you cannot trade the account and payouts may be held.
Most reviews are completed within approximately five trading days, although broader Risk Reviews may take longer.
Your review may result in:
Approval for Live Brokerage
A deferred decision while you build additional trading history
Placement into the Live Account Readiness Program
If You’re Called Up to Brokerage
Beginning October 1, 2026, when you’re approved for Live Brokerage, you’ll have two options.
Option 1: Go Live
If you choose Live Brokerage:
Your Brokerage account starts at $0
Your live drawdown is based on your qualifying account size
Your live P&L begins at $0
Eligible Sim Funded profits are placed into your Bonus Vault
Your simulated balance is not deposited into your live account as trading capital.
Instead, your Brokerage account operates with real capital and the risk allocation assigned to your account.
Example: 50K Account
If your qualifying 50K account carries a $2,000 drawdown, your Live Brokerage account would begin with:
Starting Balance: $0
Live Drawdown: $2,000
Eligible Sim Funded Profit: Bonus Vault
Option 2: Take the Buyout
If you prefer not to move into Live Brokerage, you can choose a one-time cash buyout equal to 50% of your applicable drawdown.
Using the same 50K example:
Your Choice | What You Receive |
Go Live | $0 starting balance + $2,000 live drawdown |
Take the Buyout | $1,000 cash payout |
After taking the buyout, a cooldown applies before you can return to Evaluations.
What Happens to Your Sim Funded Profits?
Under the new structure, your eligible Sim Funded profits are kept separate from your live trading balance through your Bonus Vault.
Your Bonus Vault:
Does not become your live starting balance
Is not used as live trading capital
Remains separate from your Brokerage account balance
Is paid according to the applicable Bonus Vault rules
Your Live Brokerage account itself begins at $0.
What If You Already Have a Brokerage Account?
If your Brokerage account was opened before October 1, 2026, nothing changes.
Your account continues under the structure it was originally opened with.
Under our previous Standard-plan structure, qualifying Sim Funded profits could be used when establishing your Live Brokerage starting balance.
Under our previous Orbit structure, your Brokerage account already began at $0, while eligible simulated profits were held in your Profit Vault.
The new $0 Brokerage + Bonus Vault structure applies to new Brokerage transitions going forward.
The Five-Day Transition Deadline
Your Live Brokerage invitation is valid for 5 calendar days.
Within that time, you’ll need to begin your required onboarding, which may include:
Selecting your platform
Completing account confirmations
Signing Brokerage documents
Beginning KYC
If you’re unable to complete the required steps within the five-day window, contact Support before your invitation expires.
How Risk Works in Live Brokerage
Live accounts use an end-of-day trailing drawdown unless your specific account settings state otherwise.
Your drawdown floor moves upward based on closed daily profit rather than intraday fluctuations.
Once your applicable trailing threshold has been reached, your drawdown may become fixed according to your Brokerage risk settings.
Always refer to the limits displayed on your account for your current risk parameters.
Ramp-Up Period
When you first move live, we may place your account into a Ramp-Up Period.
This may include:
Reduced contract limits
A daily loss limit
Additional Risk Team monitoring
A required number of profitable trading days before limits are increased
A typical Ramp-Up Period may require 10 profitable trading days before you can request a Performance Review.
Once you’ve completed the applicable requirement, email:
We’ll review your performance and determine whether your limits can be adjusted.
Live Brokerage Rules
Once you’re live:
Do not breach your account’s applicable minimum balance or liquidation threshold
News trading is permitted unless your account has a specific restriction
Your maximum contract size is enforced by your Brokerage settings
Positions must be closed within the permitted trading hours
Place at least one trade every 30 days to keep your account active
Your risk limits may be adjusted based on account performance
Your Live Brokerage contract limits may be lower than the limits you had during Evaluation or Sim Funded because they are based on real capital and actual Brokerage risk.
Market Data Fees
Market data fees begin once you move into Live Brokerage and are classified as a professional market-data subscriber.
Broker | Market Data Fee |
Tradovate | $156 per exchange, per calendar month |
Volumetrica | $156 per exchange, per calendar month |
Rithmic | Set by the applicable clearinghouse |
Level 2 data may require an additional subscription depending on your broker and platform.
Brokerage Payouts
Brokerage payout requests continue to be processed on business days.
Minimum payout request: $500
Effective October 1, 2026, the minimum payout request is $500 across the board.
Your account may still have additional payout requirements, including:
Protected minimum balances
Profit thresholds
Profitable-day requirements
Account-specific Risk Team restrictions
Unless your account terms state otherwise, the standard Brokerage payout split remains:
90% to you / 10% to us
We strongly recommend maintaining enough of a cushion in your account to handle normal losing periods after a payout.
Ongoing Risk Supervision
Our Risk Team actively monitors Live Brokerage accounts.
Based on your account performance, we may adjust:
Daily loss limits
Contract limits
Temporary trading pauses
Other risk controls
These controls are designed to manage live capital exposure while giving you room to trade sustainably.
For questions about your individual risk settings, contact:
If You Fail a Live Brokerage Account
If you breach your applicable Live Brokerage drawdown or liquidation threshold, your account will be closed.
A failed Live Brokerage account is subject to a 30-day cooldown unless otherwise approved by our Risk Team.
During your cooldown, you will not be able to open a new profile or additional trading accounts.
Once your cooldown has ended, you can return to the applicable trading pathway.
Brokerage Eligibility & KYC
Live Brokerage requires real Brokerage onboarding.
You may need to complete:
Identity verification
KYC and AML checks
Brokerage agreements
Proof of address
Tax documentation
Our broker and clearing partners may also request additional documents before your account can be opened.
Some countries cannot be supported because of brokerage or clearing restrictions, so make sure you review our current restricted-country information before reaching the Brokerage stage.
