Navigating and Customizing Your BlackArrow Workspace

Navigating and Customizing Your BlackArrow Workspace

The BlackArrow Desktop App allows you to customize your workspace based on how you prefer to trade.

This guide covers the main areas of the platform and some basic ways to organize your setup.

Understanding your workspace

Your BlackArrow workspace can include multiple charts, instruments, trading panels, indicators, and layouts.

Some of the main areas you’ll use include:

Charts

Charts display price action and allow you to adjust your timeframe, chart type, indicators, and drawing tools.

Chart Trading

The Chart Trading panel (to the right hand side) is where you can select your account, quantity, order type, and Trading Bracket before entering a position.

Instrument Tabs

Instrument tabs allow you to quickly move between different markets.

Layouts

Layouts allow you to create different chart configurations without rebuilding your setup each time:

Opening another chart

Use the platform’s chart controls to open a new chart.

Once opened, you can customize the chart based on the instrument and timeframe you want to monitor.

Changing instruments

Select the instrument shown on the chart and search for the futures contract you want to view.

You can also create multiple tabs for instruments you regularly trade.

For example:

ES | NQ | GC | CL

Adding indicators

Open the Indicators menu from the chart toolbar.

Search for the indicator you want to use and add it to your chart.

From there, you can adjust the indicator’s available settings based on your preferred setup.

Creating layouts

Layouts can be useful when you want to maintain different chart configurations.

For example:

Execution
Primary chart and order-entry setup

Market Structure
Multiple timeframes for analysis

Higher Timeframe
Longer-term charts and indicators

Create and name your layouts based on how you organize your trading.

Saving your workspace

Once you’ve arranged your charts and tools the way you want them, save your workspace:

Saving your workspace allows you to return to the same general setup the next time you open BlackArrow.

A simple starting setup

If you’re new to BlackArrow, you may want to start with:

  • One primary execution chart

  • One higher-timeframe chart

  • Chart Trading open on your primary chart

  • Your positions and working orders visible

  • A saved workspace specifically for your trading setup

You can add additional charts, indicators, and tools as you become more familiar with the platform 🚀
